Event Day Marketing Done Right: How to Use Your Time at Weddings to Book More Weddings

Most professionals have some sort of routine on wedding days. Perhaps it involves some sort of equipment preparation, product assembly or simply a personal routine to help mentally ready yourself for the day ahead. These days are, by nature, lengthy and intense. There is a strict schedule, many tasks to fulfill and a team of vendors to work with, many of whom you may not know. Oh, yeah, don’t forget dealing with your clients and their guests, and delivering the service you were hired to perform. Needless to say it’s a lot of work. Encouraging you to concentrate on marketing or networking during the day may seem like I’m asking too much, but I promise it can be done and is highly worth the effort.  

It's Memorial Day! If You're Working, Stop It Right Now!

Okay, I won't actually judge you for spending a holiday working on your wedding business, especially given that I, during one of my rare child-free weekends as a single mom, am using this time to do some digging on my own goals and plans.

With so many details to keep track of, it can be fairly easy to micro-manage. Who knows your job better than you? While it’s certainly important to make sure everything falls into just the right place, there is a time and place to take a step back and let the day flow naturally.

Ah, the ever-coveted work/life balance. From my experience, most people tend to lean towards one side or the other – rarely is it a 50/50 split. In the event industry, it can be especially difficult to prioritize your time as we’re often dealing with weddings and events on the weekends and weeknights.
