Who's Ready to Get Real?

WeddingIQ Blog - Who's Ready to Get Real?

Okay, I'm totally exploiting my ownership of this blog as an opportunity to promote my newest venture to our wonderful WeddingIQ audience. (Call it a perk for the many, many hours of unpaid work - I mean love - poured into this site!)

I'm super excited to announce that I'm finally bringing my true passion project to reality on January 1, 2016. Authentic Boss is a website created as a learning resource for small business owners seeking to work and live more authentically. My mission is for the site to feature the most useful, relevant, value-packed materials on the web: e-courses, e-books, workbooks, downloadable templates and more. All centered on the same goal of helping you run a successful, sustainable business that reflects your true self.

As I see it, there are WAY too many small business owners feeling "less than." Less than their competitors. Less than the caliber of clients they want to serve and the rates they want to charge. Less than worthy of acknowledgment for what they do.

There are also way too many small business owners holding themselves back from getting real. They're branding their business in a generic, safe, BORING way - not because that's what they want, but because they either don't know what else to do, or because they're afraid. They're hiding who they are, they're feeling disconnected from their clients and their work, and they don't know a way out.

I believe that, when it comes to branding, marketing, client service, work/life balance, and general happiness, virtually every problem a small business owner faces can be addressed by pivoting their business toward a more authentic reflection of themselves. Their passion, their values, their beliefs, their working style, their personality, their quirks - all should shine through so that they're attracting the best clients for them and enjoying every minute of what they do. I'm so excited to help educate, motivate and inspire other entrepreneurs to make this happen, And I'm walking the same journey right along with them.

As for the content I create, I'm committed to jam-packing it with REAL information. Probably just like you, I've invested in online resources and attended seminars where the promised value wasn't delivered. The information was super-basic. Or, even worse, the product or event I purchased was solely a vehicle for pitching me on something else to buy. Authentic Boss is the polar opposite of that. My materials are designed to supply you with real strategies, action steps, and concepts you can apply directly to your business (and to your brain). They're going to show you how to access who you are, what you love, and how you want to run your business - and then they'll show you how to put that knowledge to work for you.

The full site launches January 1, 2016, but there's good reason to visit Authentic Boss' sneak preview site right now. Sign up with your email address and you'll receive a pretty awesome free gift, if I do say so myself: an 18-page workbook titled "Six Steps to You-Ifying Your Business." You'll also receive Brain Food for Bosses, my biweekly email broadcast (and I say "broadcast" because the term "newsletter" kind of sucks) that's so carefully curated and crammed with useful business information, it's going to be the best thing you get in your inbox. (Well, besides signed contracts from clients, maybe. But still pretty awesome.) What you'll never get though, is any spam. Ever. I hate it just like you do. The first edition of Brain Food for Bosses goes out a week from Monday (November 30), so get in on the action now!

Oh - and if you want to keep up with Authentic Boss elsewhere on the web, be sure to check it out on Instagram (@authentic.boss), Facebook (AuthenticBoss), and Twitter (@AuthBoss). I'd love to see you over there.

Thanks so much, friends, for your advance support of Authentic Boss - here's to authenticity in business and life!
