t's kind of scary how often things like contracts and retainers get tossed out the window in favor of quick and easy sales. Still, when you're a new business owner struggling to establish yourself (or when you're a veteran who feels squeezed out of an already-competitive marketplace), I can see how it'd be tempting to go for the gimmicks.

This tactic, however, has very real long-term consequences for your business and for the general perception for the wedding industry as a whole. I've explained why, and broken out a handful of "easy road" practices to avoid, in my post on WeddingWire.
