The Return of WeddingIQ: The Official Announcement

WeddingIQ Blog - The Return of WeddingIQ: The Official Announcement

That’s right – after an extraordinarily long hiatus, WeddingIQ is back! Life threw some unexpected circumstances my way over the past couple of years, which necessitated an extended period of fire extinguishing and life re-prioritizing. (More on that in a later post.) Of course, I still continued to run my primary business, MyDeejay, but over time realized just how much I missed being knee-deep in my passion for discussing business. I’m so excited to jump right back into sharing all the insight, tips, and occasionally incendiary commentary for which WeddingIQ was once well-known.

Which brings me to another piece of news – the “I” of WeddingIQ is now a “we!” I’m thrilled to have brought on a new co-editor, Kyle Bergner. Kyle is a very dear friend of mine, but more importantly here, she’s an accomplished photographer and one of the savviest business owners in the wedding industry. Kyle and I will be writing both separately and collaboratively for WeddingIQ on a variety of topics, including business ethics, marketing, organization, relationship-building, and general life “stuff.” I think Kyle is going to be a perfect fit for the tone and audience of WeddingIQ, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with her.

Whether you’re a longtime reader of WeddingIQ, or you found your way here via social media or WeddingWire World (where I’m speaking live on the topic of business growth and brand integrity this very afternoon! Holla!), welcome! The site has a totally new look, and I hope you’ll take a gander at some new features: the archive of classic WeddingIQ posts, contributor guidelines for those who might like to guest blog for us, social media links, and of course our individual bios and contact information. We also have refreshed all our social media accounts and added some new ones, so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.You can also email us directly at

We’ll be posting fresh content to WeddingIQ several times a week, every week…hope you’ll check back for updates!
