See You at TSE 2017!

It’s almost the New Year, which means The Special Event 2017 is growing closer and closer! I, for one, cannot wait. TSE has always been a wonderful experience, between all of the educational programs and meeting such great event pros from around the world.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be speaking not once, but twice at the conference. On Tuesday, I’ll be covering The Latest and Greatest in Lighting and Décor Trends at 9:45 am. Then, on Wednesday, I have the pleasure of being a panelist on A Technophile, An App Enthusiast, a Skeptic and a Luddite (guess which one I am!), a discussion about the growth of business technology at 4:30 pm.

Last year, I brought home so much valuable insight and a feeling of inspiration. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with the lineup.

The Special Event 2017 will be held from January 10-12 at the Convention Center in Long Beach, CA. Interested in joining? We’d love to see you there! Get your tickets here and comment below if you plan on attending.

East Coast, I'm Coming!

I’m starting to think I should just leave my suitcase perma-packed as I gear up for a busy round of speaking engagements on the East Coast.

With that, I am thrilled to share my upcoming travels! I’m headed off to Richmond, Virginia, at the end of the month to speak at NACE Richmond’s October education meeting on Event Crises. If you’re in the area, please join us on October 25 at 5:30 pm! We’ll be taking over the brand new Hofheimer Building as we discuss how to prepare for crises, as well as how to bounce back from one.

Interested in attending my speaking gig in Richmond? Follow the Facebook event page for more information about registration!

Not long after my stay in Richmond, I’ll be headed down to Atlanta where I’ll be speaking on Event Technology at NACE Atlanta’s November meeting. Join us at The Gathering Spot on November 1 at 5:30 pm for a full meal as we chat about the latest and greatest apps available for your event business. Register here!

Thank You, WeddingWire World!

Thank You, WeddingWire World!

We had such a fantastic experience this year at WeddingWire World 2016! WeddingIQ was re-launched less than a year ago at WeddingWire World 2015 and we're so excited to have come so far in such a short period of time. Not only were Jennifer and I both featured speakers this year but our booth in the Marketplace allowed us to share our blog's vision with attendees. We met some amazing business owners from all across the country and listened to great advice from fellow wedding vendors and celebrities in our industry. Here are a few highlights from the week. Stay tuned for a more in depth exploration our presentations coming soon!

WeddingWire World, Here We Come!

Okay, that title is a little misleading, since we're already on-site for WeddingWire World 2016. But you get where we were going with it!

We're so excited to once again be part of this industry-leading conference, bringing wedding business owners the best of technology, marketing tools, customer service strategies, and more, as well as unparalleled networking opportunities. This year's event is a full 2.5 days and is packed with amazing content, newly organized into several "tracks" to help wedding pros identify and attend the sessions most relevant to their businesses.

WeddingIQ is Everywhere!

WeddingIQ is Everywhere!

Hey, wedding pros! I'm excited to share that my monthly article for WeddingWire's Education Center and ProBlog is live today. I've written about the negative impact that a common personality trait, that of being a people pleaser, can have on your wedding business.

WeddingIQ is also going to be represented at two separate wedding industry conferences in the next couple of weeks. This coming Monday, February 1, Kyle and I are featured speakers at The Planners Suite event at Top of the Town in Arlington, Virginia. We'll be speaking on the topic of copyright: both as it pertains to protecting your own website from plagiarism and properly requesting and utilizing professional photographers' image in your marketing.
